Identity of ‘Batman’ creator’s “sidekick” revealed in new book

In Bill the Boy Wonder: The Secret Co-Creator of Batman, author Marc Tyler Nobleman claims that “just about everything enduring about Batman” – from his costume to the name of his beloved city to his tragic past – was thought up not by Bob Kane, the man long credited with inventing the superhero, but rather by Bill Finger, a struggling writer and artist whose help Kane enlisted after the two met at a party.
