To mark what would have been the late composer’s 100th birthday yesterday, 33 musicians reflect on how Cage influenced them.

FBI once kept a close eye on Ray Bradbury

Newly disclosed federal documents reveal that throughout the 50s and 60s the FBI investigated Ray Bradbury. The bureau believed that Bradbury harbored “communist sympathies” and had the potential to incite his readers to “hysteria” through his work.
